More about me

Kathryn Sullivan, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist with a broad and diverse background in treating children, adolescents, and adults across various settings, including private practice, clinics, hospitals, and schools. She specializes in addressing a range of mental health concerns, including ADHD, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and emotion dysregulation.

Dr. Sullivan uses an integrative, evidence-based approach to therapy, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Management Training (PMT), and mindfulness-based strategies. She works with individuals and families to address social skills, anxiety, problematic patterns of behavior, avoidance, and emotional dysregulation in children, teens, and adults.

Dr. Sullivan has particular expertise in supporting adolescents and adults navigating life transitions. She has worked extensively with college-bound students and individuals throughout adulthood to help with executive functioning and anxiety-related challenges, such as time management, organization, planning, and problem-solving. Her work with college students includes providing support for academic success, managing stress, and improving emotional regulation. In her work with adults, Dr. Sullivan provides therapy to those struggling with anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation, as well as those experiencing difficulties in managing executive functioning in both professional and personal settings. She uses a combination of CBT and DBT-informed strategies to help adults develop effective coping skills and emotional regulation techniques, which can be particularly beneficial in managing stress, work-life balance, and life transitions.

Dr. Sullivan is passionate about providing personalized, goal-oriented therapy to individuals and families, helping them build skills for greater emotional well-being, improved functioning, and lasting positive change.
