Our team 

CBTAA takes a collaborative approach to each case bringing together deep functional expertise from multiple practitioners depending on the specific objectives of the client. Our multi-disciplinary team has a combined 40 years of experience in neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, as well as deep knowledge and expertise in using these evaluations to inform development plans, recommend and advocate for interventions and accommodations, and navigate school and other regulatory systems.

Neuropsychologist
With a doctoral degree in school psychology and a post-doctoral fellowship from a prestigious neuropsychology program, Dr. Rosemarie Kurtz brings extensive expertise to the evaluation process and has comprehensive training in the evaluation of neuropsychological concerns including ADHD, autism-spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and learning and language disorders.
Certified School Psychologist
As a certified school psychologist with both graduate and doctoral degrees in school psychology, Dr. Ranjana Hari has a valuable perspective and direct school-based experience that she brings to the evaluation process and that positions her to expertly advocate on behalf of her evaluation clients.
Teacher Turned Psychologist
With direct experience of difficulties and intervention from the other side of the evaluation, Dr. Lauren Dobbs is equipped to provide tailored recommendations to optimally support school-aged clients in the classroom and school-environment.

Dr. Rosemarie Kurtz ― PH.D.
Licensed Psychologist & Neuropsychologist
Dr. Rosemare Kurtz is a licensed psychologist specializing in neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults.

She holds a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Columbia University and completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Northwell Health to obtain a specialization in neuropsychology. Her diverse experience spans across academic medical centers, schools, and community clinics, where she has honed her skills in assessing and supporting children and young adults with various needs.

Dr. Kurtz has vast experience evaluating a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, autism-spectrum disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, learning disabilities, language disorders, and intellectual challenges, as well as the emotional and behavioral difficulties often associated with these conditions.

Licensed Psychologist & Neuropsychologist
Dr. Dobbs takes pride in ensuring comprehensive evaluations, accurate diagnoses, and relevant recommendations.

She prioritizes holding extensive feedback sessions for each evaluation to ensure families understand presenting problems and leave the evaluation experience feeling heard, understood, and confident in plans for intervention moving forward.

Dr. Dobbs subscribes to the therapeutic assessment model, in which evaluations help each client develop insight into and identify effective solutions for persistent challenges. She carefully selects relevant “gold-standard” and evidence-based assessments for each evaluation, and incorporates feedback from family members, teachers, and outside providers.

Dr. Samuel Parton ― LMSW
Licensed Psychologist & Neuropsychologist
Sam is a dedicated and experienced psychotherapist, specializing in child, adolescent, and adult therapy.

He address anxiety and depression, which may cause difficulties with daily functioning, school performance, self-esteem, and relationships with peers and family members. He also treats behavioral problems, such as acting out or defiance, whether these behaviors are causing disruption at home, school, or other social settings. Additionally, he helps children and adolescents who have had difficult life events process their experiences, develop coping skills, and heal from emotional pain.

At the heart of his therapeutic practice lies the powerful and proven technique of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

Our streamlined process ensures that every evaluation is thorough, easy to navigate, and designed to provide meaningful insights that support real-world outcomes. Once clinical intake interview is conducted, reports are typically delivered within 4 weeks.

Initial Consultation
In an initial consultation, you will meet with an evaluator to discuss your goals so they can tailor the evaluation approach to your needs.

Clinical Interview
During the clinical interview, evaluators seek to understand your history, concerns, and goals. They listen, ask detailed questions, and gather data to inform the evaluation.

Comprehensive Testing
Comprehensive testing includes an extensive custom battery of gold-standard measures that are administered typically over two, 4-hour sessions to evaluate cognitive, academic, and social-emotional profiles. If applicable, an evaluator will conduct a blind school observation.

Report & Recommendations
Our detailed report includes clear findings, diagnostic impressions, and practical recommendations, typically delivered within 4 weeks of the completion of testing.

Feedback Session
We discuss results in depth and collaborate with you to create a personalized plan—whether for home, school, or work, or personal life.

Follow-up & Additional Meeting
We remain available for follow questions and attendance at school or other stakeholder meetings as needed.
